Prompt
Turn the person in the uploaded photo into a retro pixel art avatar. Keep their hairstyle, hair color, skin tone, glasses and clothing colors recognizable in a simplified form. Clear, chunky pixels at a low resolution, limited color palette of about 16 colors, no blur or smoothing. Head and shoulders, facing forward, on a solid dark purple background. Looks like a character portrait from a classic 16-bit video game. Square format.
How to customize this prompt
- Go even more retro with "8-bit, only 4 colors".
- Add "a small pixel heart and a health bar above the head" for a game feel.
- Change the background to a simple pixel scene: "a starry night sky".
How to use: open ChatGPT, upload your photo, paste the prompt and send.
